Frequent Inspection: Straight forward and surface level inspection focusing on visible issues such as cracked or deforming load hooks, frayed wire ropes, corroded load chain, and testing all control functions and limits. They are crucial for catching problems early and maintaining safe operation for the user.
Periodic Inspection: A much deeper and more comprehensive look at more of the internal components, typically done on a yearly basis. brakes, structural systems, electrical components, chains, ropes, and driving systems.
Slings and Rigging: Damaged, uncertified, and homemade rigging must be removed from service as per OSHA and ASME standards. Having a regular and certified inspections ensures your lifting equipment is safe to use.
Below-The-Hook Device: Properly inspected BTH devices are requiered by OSHA and ASME standards. Many devices are overlooked in day to day work and having them regularly inspected to catch problems before they fail is critical to safe and efficient operation. Checking markings, identification, structural damage and electrical faults, a BTH inspection is integral to any preventative maintance plan.
